We have a pair of 150mm diameter Dobsonian telescopes that we use at outreach events but members can also borrow them to find their way around the night sky.
Not all astronomy takes place at night, you can learn a lot by looking at our own nearest star.
So why not borrow the society Lunt 35 solar scope for a couple of weeks and study our sun in safety?

Astrophotography need not involve complex hardware setup. This simple device mounts to a conventional camera tripod to ensure smooth tracking of the sky for long exposures. We supply you the tripod, camera and remote control. The only thing we can't guarantee is a clear sky!
Fully paid up members may borrow the above items of kit from the society, just speak to any member of the committee to arrange the loan.
The library which is available at all meeting includes books and DVD's to cater for all abilities.
Feel free to to browse and sign out any publication for as long as you want.
(Obviously if the item you have on loan is in high demand you may need to return it sooner).
